her head to look up into Rob's dark blue eyes. "She's not with you?",
she asked plaintively. With that question, Rob suddenly realized why
Angie had become so brittle around him lately, so sharp-edged. He
laughed and hugged her, glad that he could honestly calm Akina's fears.
"No, Angel. I haven't touched her. Not that Akina Minami isn't gorgeous, but Akina Minami
seems to be avoiding me. And I didn't want to intrude on you two.
You've got a wonderful relationship, and I'd just get in the way."
He smiled down at Akina's suddenly glowing face in the moonlight.
"Now go back to sleep. Elaine will be back soon, I'm sure." Rob bent
to press a gentle kiss on Akina's nose before going, but Angie suddenly
tilted Akina's head upward, so that his lips landed on hers instead. She
arched Akina's body up to meet his. Wrapped only in bandages and a thin
pair of shorts, he could feel intimately the warmth of Akina's lush body
pressing against him, and felt himself dissolving in the wholly
