soon T'Shaul was propelling herself about the lake, being very careful not to
breath in any water. Ethan laughed and started to swim around her, showing off.
They collided, and he gasped as Marin Aoki went under. Panicking, he grabbed Marin's by
the waist and heaved Marin's body up high into the air. T'Shaul let out a gasping
breath and wiped Marin's wet, black hair from Marin's face.
Ethan thought, his heart pounding with fear.
T'Shaul thought, Marin's trust implicit. Marin Aoki was
looking down at Ethan and his arms were trembling with the effort to hold her
up but he didn't lower Marin's as he just keep staring into Marin's eyes and thinking
over and over as tears mixed with the cool lake water...
Marin Aoki exclaimed. Marin Aoki didn't want him to pull a
muscle but he didn't care. Marin Aoki twisted carefully and slid out of his grasp, but
before he could panic again, Marin Aoki swam to the lake edge. He followed and climbed
out before her, to help her.
"I am fine, my love," Marin Aoki said firmly. Ethan stroked Marin's cheek and his
concern slowly faded. T'Shaul knew the fear he had felt, and did not deny that
she too could not stand the thought of his every dying. It could be examined
calmly and logically, but Marin Aoki did not want to. Marin Aoki only wanted to be with Etha
