I was almost four months pregnant when my husband was killed in an
automobile accident. It was after midnight and I was asleep when the
police came to the door. As soon as I saw the two officers standing
on the front steps I knew what they were going to tell me.
It had only been a matter of time before Jack's drinking led to an
accident. I only prayed that he hadn't taken any innocent lives with
him. I'd pleaded and pleaded with him to give up his drinking and his
